Aishwarya is busy being a mom

Aishwarya Rai is a hands on mother. Recently we met Abhishek Bachchan and he told us that she was looking after the baby herself. She hadn’t enlisted the services of a nanny. She does everything for the baby right from massaging, bathing and feeding her. And that keeps the momma busy all day. But she isn’t complaining because the joy of being a mom is something else. And she wants to experience it to its fullest. We agree and laud her efforts completely.

Katrina assures Shah Rukh Khan

Once bitten twice shy is more like it, actually. Ever since he fell out with Salman Khan, he’s been cagey about working with Sallu’s woman too. He didn’t want a repeat of what happened on the sets of Chalte Chalte. So now when Katrina was signed by Yash Raj Films opposite Shah Rukh, alarm bells reportedly went off in SRK’s head. Naturally, he didn’t want a repeat of the past incident. So we’re told he had a chat with Katrina to find out if it was okay for them to work together. He wanted to be sure that there would be no problem if they did a film with each other. Katrina assured him that there wouldn’t be any problem. Apparently, it’s only after Shah Rukh was satisfied that he agreed to go ahead with the film. 

Kajal Aggarwal refuses Maneesh Sharma

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl may not have done well, but Maneesh Sharma is raring to go with his third movie. According to trade pandits, he approached Kajal Aggarwal for his next film. Kajal, dragged her feet when it came to giving an answer. Insiders say she was waiting to see how well Ladies... would be received by the audience. Once it was confirmed that the movie hadn’t done well, she refused the film citing date problems. But of course.  

Arjun Rampal acts pricey

Arjun Rampal was shooting at Filmcity for Heroine. His vanity van was parked outside with his name written on it. The actor was resting inside when the commotion outside disturbed him. On enquiring he found that his van had been surrounded by a group of giggly girls. They wanted to meet him and were creating quite a ruckus outside. The actor was in no mood to comply and the girls kept coming back to the van. When they wouldn’t leave him alone, he got his van shifted to another location. And he got his name removed from the door of the van. Only then did peace prevail. 

Bipasha gets dumped

According to the grapevine, they’d been seeing each other for a while now. After she broke off with John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, we’re told, had started dating Rana Dagubatti. Now we hear, the two have broken off. And it happened on New Year’s eve. Rana apparently was in Goa for New Year’s with his friends from the Telugu film industry and among them was Trisha. Bipasha reportedly joined him on December 31. We hear that Bips brought up the ‘M’ word with Rana. And he got cold feet. So he told her that it wasn’t working for him. The actress we believe was stunned but she took it graciously. Despite everything she attended the New Year’s bash at Marbella in Goa. And then flew out the next day. 

Viveik Oberoi upset

Vivek Oberoi was reportedly slighted by Sanjay Gupta. After doing Shootout At Lokhandwala with him, he’d expected the director would offer him his next Shootout At Wadala. But that didn’t happen. Gupta instead approached John Abraham. Not just that, Gupta then approached Vivek for another role in the same film. Naturally, Vivek who’d played the lead in Shootout At Lokhandwala, was miffed. But he didn’t refuse outright. Instead he told Sanjay Gupta that he’d read the script and if he liked the role he’d think about it. Now if that isn’t euphemism for refusing the film, what is?

Salman high on Shriya?

The gossip industry is once again ripe with rumours about Salman Khan. This time it’s being hinted that the actor is sweet on South Indian actress Shriya Saran. He’s been recommending her to everyone who’s willing to give him an ear. He reportedly told his friend Rumi Jaffrey to cast her in Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai. Rumi was only too happy to oblige Salman Khan. So now if you see Shriya’s career getting a facelift, you know who’s behind it. Wink, wink.
